Airliners International™ 2022 Chicago Recap

–Chicago, Illinois, Hilton Rosemont Hotel. This was the first time in the Society’s history we brought Airliners International™ to the “Windy City.” The convention was well-attended and we were again able to welcome foreign enthusiasts and vendors. Thursday night’s Welcome Reception was a minor league baseball game between the Chicago Dogs and Milwaukee Milkmen. Tours included Station Operations at American and United, ORD Ramp Tours, and Night Maintenance tours at American and United. The tours were fantastic! Saturday night banquet speaker Howie Franklin, former US Air Force Steward, shared stories and photographs of his time serving aboard the unique Boeing 707 and 747 aircraft. He’s the only steward to serve five US presidents on Air Force One.
