Airliner of the Month

Airliner of the Month

A beautiful 1960’s twilight shot of one of Pan Am’s DC-8 “Jet Clippers” parked at the International Arrivals Building (IAB), New York-JFK. The carrier originally ordered more DC-8’s than 707’s, but later decided on an all-Boeing fleet. The Douglas aircraft were gone by 1970. Notice the viewers on the observation deck, typical of a far less security conscious era.
